Prices are subject to change but the price of commissioned work is guaranteed at the time of order. The waiting period for a commissioned instrument typically fluctuates from 6 - 10 months.
To place an order, your contact information (name, phone number, email, and mailing address) and a deposit of $400 are required. A down payment of 1/3 the total price is due before construction of your instrument begins. The balance, plus shipping cost, is due upon completion and before delivery.
Please make arrangements to satisfy any import regulations that may apply in your country. Payments can be made in Canadian funds by bank draft, money order, cheque or cash.
Within the first five days of receiving an instrument, if you are not completely satisfied, it may be returned for a full refund.
If the instrument is not return shipped within this period, it will be considered sold. If damaged in the customer's care, the cost of repairs necessary to restore the instrument to original condition, or an amount commensurate with the damage incurred is deducted. In the case of non-standard special orders, the entire refund might not be possible until the guitar is resold.
Instruments in stock (check what's available now) can be shipped for approval once I receive payment for the full price of the guitar plus shipping. The foregoing trial period applies, and if the guitar is returned, your refund is guaranteed to be immediate.
I have complete confidence in the quality of my instruments, so each Scott guitar is warranted to be free from faulty materials and craftsmanship for a period of ten years after the date of completion. Repairs or alterations performed by others risk cancellation of this warranty, and damages due to improper care, accidents or regular wear and tear are exempt.
Ask what I have in the studio, we can arrange for it to be shipped to you on a trial basis.
I display guitars at the Guitar Foundation of America’s annual convention and competition. If you are attending the next one, I will see you there!
Also, check Grand Salon de Guitare, and Trilogy Guitars, the primary dealers of my instruments.
